It comes ready to use: one formed aluminum piece, no assembly, no moving parts, with a black applied slip-resistant tread on top. Lengths are 8 in, 10 in and 12 in, each 32 in wide, for usable heights up to 1.312 in, 1.625 in and 2 in. The weight capacity is 700 lbs, and screws for a wood surface come with it for the pre-drilled slots.
