Power ChairMegaMotion's Carbon Cruiser is a carbon fiber folding power wheelchair that weighs 42 lbs without its battery and folds nearly flat in seconds. MegaMotion says it is suited to indoor use and flat paths near buildings, not grass, gravel roads, large slopes, rain or snow, so think of it as a chair for home and paved outings.
Folded, it measures 28 x 24 x 12.5 inches. The removable 24V 12Ah lithium battery weighs 4 lbs and gives up to 9.3 miles per charge; with it in place the chair weighs 46.4 lbs. Capacity is 300 lbs, top speed 3.7 mph and turning radius 31 inches. The seat is 17.3 inches wide and 15.7 deep, set 20 inches from the ground.
When needed, the brakes can be disengaged so a caregiver can push it like a manual wheelchair. The joystick and cup holder mount on either armrest. MegaMotion warrants the main frame for five years and the electrical, motor and battery parts for one year, for the original purchaser.
