Harmar's Highlander II lifts a rider who stays seated in a scooter, manual wheelchair or powerchair, giving access to decks, porches, garage entries, second story entries and the rise between floors. It is rated for both residential and commercial use.
Capacity is 750 lb at 9.5 to 15 FPM. Models range from the VPL400 at up to 53 in to the VPL1400 at up to 171 in, about 14 ft, and the variant list also includes the VPL400-X, VPL400-XDC and VPL600-XDC. Platforms come 36 in wide (48, 54 or 60 in long) or 42 in wide (54 or 60 in long). An ACME screw with a 90V 2/3 HP DC gear motor replaces traditional pulleys, which Harmar says can mean fewer maintenance visits. It runs on 120V AC with a 15 AMP breaker and includes a 4 x 5 in constant pressure paddle.
