Power ChairA swiveling captain's seat sets the Electric Wheelchair Model V apart. Vive says the plush, fully rotating chair makes transfers easier, so getting in and out can happen with more ease and dignity. It suits adults on concrete and pavement; Vive notes it is not for loose gravel or inclement weather.
Capacity is 300 lbs, top speed 4 mph and range up to 15 miles per charge from two 12V 35AH batteries driving dual 200W motors. The chair weighs 151 lbs with batteries and measures 40 inches long, 24.75 inches wide and 44 inches high. A 25-inch turning radius helps in small rooms, and the seat is 20 x 18 inches with an 18.5-inch back. Solid, inflate-free tires need no air, and a freewheel mode lets a companion push the chair by hand.
The box holds the chair, both batteries, the joystick controller, a 3-pin charging cable and the user manual. Vive covers the frame for 5 years.
