A baby still finding their balance can topple over while stretching for a toy. Smirthwaite built the Corner Chair as a floor sitter for that stage, starting at 8 months old. Support wraps around the back and both sides so a child can stay down at floor level, playing next to other children, while a built-in pommel at the front keeps the knees apart and the seat even.
You can set the back, the angle of the sides, the side pads, the headrest and the pommel. Sizes 1 and 2 are 15.7 in wide with an 11.8 in seat depth and heights of 16.1 to 20.5 in and 20.5 to 26 in; they weigh 22 and 26 lb. Size 3 is 17.7 in wide, 13.8 in deep, 21.7 to 27.2 in high and 31 lb. Every size takes up to 187 lb. Use it on the floor or on Smirthwaite's ladder frame.
The batten feet come unattached. Smirthwaite warrants materials and workmanship for 2 years from arrival.
