You clip it onto their clothing and fix it to their bed or chair with a bracket that suits practically all wheelchairs or beds. If they move past the preset distance, magnet and monitor separate and it sounds. Its cord adjusts in length, and its switch works in many directions.
It never needs turning on, because it always stays on. A 9V battery comes in the package, spare magnets can be ordered if one gets misplaced, and Proactive backs it for 1 year.
