As they settle back down, or once their seatbelt is re-attached, it quiets and resets itself. You can set it to low or high volume, and it stays in the on position all the time.
It pairs with most companies' bed and chair sensor pads and with buckle or hook-and-loop seatbelt sensors. A bracket mounts it to practically any wheelchair or bed. One 9V battery comes with it, and Proactive's warranty runs 1 year.
