Made in the USA, the MPS Monarch Mark 1A is a mechanical hand control: braking and acceleration work through mechanical linkage. It comes in four configurations, so the motion can suit the driver.
Right Angle: push forward to brake, press down toward the lap to go. Push/Rock: push the upright handle forward to brake, rock it back and down to go. Push/Pull: push toward the dashboard to brake, pull back to go, with an upright or standard handle. Brake Only: push forward to brake, for drivers who use the foot pedal for gas. The Right Angle and Push/Rock versions include an accelerator lock-out to switch on when someone else drives.
MPS says the control can usually be transferred to a new vehicle by a qualified mobility professional, and covers it with a 5 year limited warranty.
