Four wheels under a heavy-duty frame: the Pride Maxima 4-wheel (model SC941) carries riders up to 500 lbs. and reaches up to 5.8 mph. Pride lists it as a scooter that does not come apart, so it stays in one piece for storage and travel.

A full charge takes it up to 19.5 miles. The turning radius is 53 in., ground clearance is 2.25 in. at the motor, and it rides on solid tires front and rear. Seating is a high-back black vinyl seat, 22 in. wide, with depth that adjusts from 18 to 20 in. Pick the basic seat or the power elevating seat, which lifts you an extra 6.25 in. for a seat-to-ground height of up to 28.56 in. Either version comes in Garnet Red or Ocean Blue.

Without its two 36.5 lb. gel batteries, the scooter weighs 196.8 lbs. with the standard seat. Pride's limited warranty runs for life on the frame, 2 years on electronics and drivetrain, and 6 months on batteries.
