Scooter

Built for riders who need real carrying capacity, the Pride Maxima 3-wheel (model SC901) is a heavy-duty scooter rated for up to 500 lbs. Three wheels and a 49-inch turning radius help it take corners where a bigger frame would need more room. Pride lists it as a unit that does not disassemble, so plan on storing and moving it whole.

Range is up to 19.8 miles per charge, with a top speed of up to 5.8 mph. The high-back black vinyl seat is 22 in. wide and adjusts in depth from 18 to 20 in. Choose the standard seat or the power elevating seat, which adds 6.25 in. of height and raises the seat-to-ground range to 22.32-28.56 in. Colors are Garnet Red and Ocean Blue, both matte. Two 58Ah gel batteries weigh 36.5 lbs. each, and the scooter weighs 183.5 lbs. without them.

Pride covers the frame with a lifetime limited warranty, the electronics and drivetrain for 2 years and the batteries for 6 months.
