Power ChairTaking the BuzzAbout apart for the car means four pieces: the front half at 29 lbs, the rear half at 33 lbs, the seat with arms at 34 lbs and the batteries at 28 lbs. Golden Technologies designed it for travel and everyday use, indoors or out.
Motion-sensing LED running lights on the footplate and rear handle turn on when the joystick moves, which Golden says adds visibility. The chair carries up to 300 lbs, goes up to 11 miles on 22 AH batteries and reaches 4 mph. Turning radius is 28.5 inches, and the 17 x 16 inch seat adjusts from 21.5 to 23.5 inches off the ground. Flat-free tires measure 9 inches at the rear with 6-inch casters.
A high-back stadium seat comes standard, with a captain's seat offered as an upgrade, and the batteries can be charged off the chair. The structural frame has a 5-year limited warranty, the drive train and electronics 13 months, and the batteries 1 year.
