Buddy is Smirthwaite's entry-level vertical stander for very young children who need low to moderate support while bearing weight. Its teddy bear design is bright and friendly, and the frame is slim enough to use at school so a child can join in alongside friends.
Chest and pelvic bands adjust for height and width, while the knee supports and sandals adjust for angle. Thoracic support to footboard runs 18.9 to 24.4 in, pelvic support 13.8 to 18.1 in and knee supports 7.1 to 13.4 in. The user weight limit is 88.2 lb; the stander itself weighs 30.9 lb on a 25.6 x 19.6 x 30.9 in base.
It comes fully assembled with a removable tray, chest band, pelvic band, knee supports and sandals; straps and tray come in lime. Smirthwaite says the user should not be left unattended while standing.
