Vive builds this chair to serve as a shower seat, a commode and a way to wheel the rider between rooms. The frame is lightweight aluminum that resists rust and contains no latex, and Vive points out that its non-porous surfaces are quick to wipe down after a shower.
The cushioned seat on this model moves through a range of heights, the footrests can be set at different distances from the seat, and Vive rates it for riders up to 300 lbs. The commode bucket has a lid. Four locking wheels let the chair roll across different floor surfaces and then hold firm, and Vive says the chair breaks down easily when it needs to be stored.
It suits a household where a companion helps with bathing and wants one chair that can go from bedside to bathroom.

Daily use
A three-in-one chair works best when the household settles on a routine. Decide where the chair parks overnight so it is ready in the morning. Set the seat height once for your toilet and leave it there unless something changes. Lock the wheels before the rider sits, stands or moves across. Empty and rinse the bucket after each use and put the lid back on. After a shower, wipe the frame and seat dry before rolling the chair back to the bedroom, which keeps floors dry too.
