Pride Jazzy 600 ES: a stable chair with a 20.5-inch turn

Pride describes the Jazzy 600 ES as a sturdy, stable chair made for everyday living (Pride Mobility). Pairing Mid-Wheel 6 with 14-inch drive wheels lets it turn in just 20.5 inches (Pride specifications), and Pride says that turns cluttered hallways and sharp corners into easy, rolling turns (Pride Mobility).

It fits a rider of up to 300 lbs who wants one chair for long days in and out of the house. Distance is a strong point: on two NF-22 batteries Pride rates it for 24.8 miles at 300 lbs and 29.5 miles at 200 lbs (Pride specifications), with a top speed of 4.0 mph (Pride specifications).

Ride and seating

Changes in terrain are handled by Active-Trac (ATX) suspension and 6-inch OMNI-Casters at both ends (Pride specifications). Measure your doors against its 24.5-inch width; it clears the ground by 2.75 inches (Pride specifications). Seats come 18 or 20 inches wide, the high-back reaching a maximum of 20 by 20 inches, and you sit 21 to 24 inches above the floor (Pride specifications).

Two small details help with upkeep: you get to the batteries from the front, and the freewheel levers sit on the side (Pride Mobility). The color is red.

For moving it, the heaviest part is 124 lbs before the seat and batteries go on, and each NF-22 battery adds 37 lbs (Pride specifications). That is work for a vehicle lift, not a trunk.
