The Harmar SL350AC Straight Stairlift is new on our shelf. It is an indoor stairlift for a straight flight of stairs, and it works differently from the Pinnacle models, which run on batteries.
What it is and who it suits
Two features define the SL350AC. First, Harmar's product page says it "operates on standard 115V AC household current." Second, its track is fixed to the stair treads, not to the wall, and it can go on either side of the staircase. Harmar also lists a separate control at each end of the staircase, and rocker controls that stop the lift as soon as they are released.
It may suit you if:
- The staircase is indoors, straight, and has an incline between 35° and 45°.
- You prefer the rail fixed to the steps on whichever side works best.
- The rider's weight fits the capacity for your length of track (see below).
Capacity depends on track length
This is the detail to check first. Harmar gives two capacities:
- Track up to 15 ft 9 in: 350 lb
- Track from 15 ft 10 in to 25 ft: 250 lb
So on a longer staircase the lift carries less. Measure the length of your stairs along the slope before you decide, and compare the rider's weight with the right figure.

Harmar's page lists both the 115V household current in its features and 24V AC in its specifications, without explaining how the two relate. If the power supply matters for your home, contact us at info@faithmobility.com before you order.
Options
The options Harmar offers are flip-up armrests, a key lock, extra rail and a grocery basket. The basket is a small thing that makes a real difference: carrying laundry or shopping up the stairs is often the hardest part of the day.
Warranty
From the warranty section of the SL350 owner's manual:
- The warranty is to the original purchaser.
- The warranty certificate goes back to Harmar within 10 days of installation.
- Labor for installation, repair or service visits is not covered.
