Bathroom SafetyStepping over a tub wall is a common worry. With a transfer bench you sit down outside the tub and slide across into the bathing area, which is how Vive describes this one, keeping your weight supported throughout. Inside the tub, suction-cup feet lock onto the floor; outside, nonslip rubber caps keep the outer legs planted.
The textured seat is 26.25 inches long and 16 inches wide, with built-in holes so water drains away. The 16.5-inch backrest and 11-inch armrest both reverse, so the bench works from either side of the tub, and the leg height adjusts. The aluminum frame resists corrosion and holds up to 400 lb.
It arrives semi-assembled; Vive says finishing it takes about 10 minutes with a Phillips screwdriver. A handheld showerhead helps, and most shower curtains will not tuck around it. Lifetime coverage from Vive, meaning the estimated lifetime of the product, applies after registration within 30 days.
