Bathroom Safety

Toilet training takes time, and the Combi Chair is designed to grow with a child through it. Smirthwaite's toileting chair starts with an interchangeable potty for younger children, which lifts out to leave a commode seat once the child has progressed, so one chair can do the work of two.

Seat height and depth both adjust, and the armrests are height adjustable and lower to their minimum setting to help with a side transfer into the seat. Four sizes are offered: maximum user weight is 77 lb for Size 1, 99 lb for Size 2, 121 lb for Size 3 and 143 lb for Size 4, with seat widths from 11.4 to 17.1 inches.

It arrives fully assembled with the potty, a plastic commode seat, an upholstered seat and a velcro pelvic strap. The wooden frame is made at Smirthwaite's headquarters in Devon, the chair is for indoor use only, and Smirthwaite warrants materials and workmanship for 2 years.
