Who it suits
That aim shows in the numbers. The scooter separates into four pieces, and the heaviest of them is 29 lbs. Assembled, it weighs 77 lbs. That can bring loading a car trunk within reach, one piece at a time.
It is a compact scooter for riders up to 265 lbs. Three wheels give it a very tight turn: Vive lists a turning radius of 2.6 ft, handy in hallways, kitchens and around furniture. It is 37 inches long, and the base is 19.67 inches wide, so it slips through most doorways.
The seat swivels and adjusts from 18.5 to 21.5 inches high, and the padded armrests flip up so you can slide on and off from the side. The 7.5-inch tires are flat-free, so you never need to check their pressure.

Range and speed
Vive gives a maximum range of 12.4 miles on a charge and notes that hills, rider weight and speed all affect it. Top speed is 3.70 mph, about a brisk walking pace, which suits stores and sidewalks. Two 12AH batteries power it, and the off-board charger lets you charge the battery indoors.
Vive offers it in black, blue, silver or red. Replacement battery packs and a spare basket are sold separately on our shelf, which helps if you want a backup for longer days.
How it compares
Against Vive's 4 Wheel Mobility Scooter, this model turns tighter and is a little lighter (77 lbs against 88.2), with the same 265 lb rating and 29 lb heaviest piece.
