Pride Victory 10 4-wheel: EZ Turn and a sliding, swiveling seat

The Pride Victory 10 4-wheel (model S710) is now on our shelf. Four wheels, yet a turn closer to a three-wheeler's: Pride's EZ Turn design gives it a 45.5-inch turning radius (Pride Mobility: Victory 10 4-Wheel).

Who it suits

This scooter suits a rider up to 400 lbs who wants a steady four-wheel base without giving up too much turning room. The seat is a practical highlight: it slides forward and back and swivels. Pride points out that this lets you transfer from the side or roll right up to the dinner table, which makes the scooter easier to live with at home.

It rides on four 10-inch solid tires and is 47 inches long with a 22.25-inch base width.

Key specs

Figures from Pride Mobility's specification sheet:

  • Model number: S710
  • Maximum weight capacity: 400 lbs.
  • Maximum speed: up to 5.3 mph
  • Range per charge: up to 15.5 miles
  • Turning radius: 45.5"
  • Length: 47"
  • Width (base, not including seat): 22.25"
  • Weight without batteries: 137 lbs.
  • Heaviest piece: 63 lbs. (front section)
  • Batteries: (2) U1 (standard); (2) 40AH (optional)
  • Battery weight: U1 24 lbs. each; 40AH 32 lbs. each
  • Tires: 3.5"x10" solid front and rear

Range and batteries

Power comes from two U1 batteries as standard, or a 40AH pair if you choose that option. Pride lists up to 15.5 miles per charge and up to 5.3 mph. It comes in Candy Apple Red or Viper Blue. The U1 batteries weigh 24 lbs each and the 40AH batteries 32 lbs each.

Loading it

The Victory 10 comes apart, but this is a midsize scooter. Without batteries it weighs 137 lbs, and the front section, at 63 lbs, is the heaviest piece. If you plan to take it in the car often, make sure the person loading it can manage that weight, or look at a lighter travel scooter. The 18 by 17 inch seat folds to save space.

Because the seat slides as well as swivels, small adjustments are easy: move it back for more legroom on a long ride, then forward to reach a counter or a shelf.

If tight turns indoors matter most, compare it with the three-wheel Victory 10, which turns in 42 inches. If a bit more speed and comfort matters most, the Victory LX Sport is worth a look.

Before you order

  • Lift test: the front section weighs 63 lbs.
  • Turning check: measure the tightest turn at home against the 45.5-inch radius.
  • Table test: if you would like to roll up to the dining table, check the height of your table against the 23.5 to 25 inch seat height.
  • Battery choice: standard U1 or the heavier 40AH pair.

Before you choose, our fit assessment asks about your home, your car and your usual trips, and the shipping by state page explains delivery to the lower 48 states and DC.

Pride lists these terms on its testing standards and warranty page (Pride warranty for the Victory 10 4-Wheel):
