Pride Jazzy EVO 614: an everyday chair for indoors and out

The Pride Jazzy EVO 614 is built for ordinary days that take in both the living room and the backyard. Independent Active-Trac (ATX) suspension works at both the front and the back (Pride specifications), which Pride says is there for thresholds, gravel and grass (Pride Mobility). Inside, its 22-inch turning radius copes with tight spots (Pride specifications).

The rating is 300 lbs and the top speed 4.4 mph. With two NF-22 batteries, Pride puts the range at 19 miles for a 300 lb rider and 21.5 miles at 200 lbs (Pride specifications).

Wheels, width and seating

It rolls on 13.75-inch perforated drive tires with 6-inch casters at each end, and it clears the ground by 3 inches (Pride specifications). The base measures 25.4 inches across (Pride specifications), so check your narrowest doorway before you decide.

Seat widths are 16, 18 and 20 inches. The memory foam high-back adjusts for depth, swivels, and has a headrest and a limited recline (Pride Mobility); it sits 22 to 24 inches off the floor (Pride specifications). There are six shroud colors (Pride Mobility).

Pride breaks the weight down part by part: base 125.7 lbs, seat 57.8 lbs, and 36 lbs for each of the two batteries, 255.5 lbs altogether (Pride specifications). It travels on a vehicle lift, not in a trunk.
