Pride Evolution LC-435: a lift recliner in six sizes

Many of the lift chairs we carry come in two or three sizes. Pride's Evolution LC-435 comes in six, from Petite Wide up to Extra Extra Large, which makes it one of the easier chairs on our shelf to match to one particular person. It rises and tilts forward to help you stand, then lowers and reclines when you want to rest (Pride Mobility).

Who it suits

Because the range is so wide, the LC-435 works for very different people. Pride pairs each size with a height range, from 5'3" and under for the Petite Wide and Small to 5'8" through 6'1" for the two largest sizes. The Petite Wide, Small, Medium and Large are rated for 400 lbs, the Extra Large for 500 lbs and the Extra Extra Large for 600 lbs (Pride specifications). A shorter person who wants a roomier seat can look at the Petite Wide, which has a 24-inch seat width while keeping the shortest height range.

Features worth knowing

Pride lists the four smaller sizes with pull-out arms holding a cup holder, storage, and USB-A and USB-C chargers. Every size has a battery backup built in, and the hand control docks magnetically on either side of the chair, so it suits a left- or right-hand user (Pride Mobility). Pride describes the Petite Wide as Enhanced 3-Position and the Extra Large as Traditional 3-Position on its specification page; if that difference matters to you, email us and we will go through it with you.

Before you order

Seat width changes a lot across the range: 18 inches on the Small, 22 on the Large, 25.5 on the Extra Large and 29 on the Extra Extra Large, which is 46.5 inches wide overall (Pride specifications). Measure the doorways the chair has to pass through and the spot where it will sit before choosing the larger sizes.

7-year pro-rated limited warranty
Motor, hand control, transformer/control box: 4 years
Then fifth year 25%, sixth year 15%, seventh year 5% off suggested retail
Fabric is not covered
Labor, service calls and shipping are not covered
Exceeding the weight capacity voids the warranty
