This is the Golden Comforter with MaxiComfort positioning added. It keeps the series' focus on fit with six sizes (Petite/Small, Medium, Large, Tall, Medium Wide and Large Extra Wide) and adds two comfort zones controlled from the AutoDrive hand control (Golden Technologies, sell sheet).

Who it suits

Capacity is 400 lbs for the four standard sizes, 500 lbs for the Medium Wide and 600 lbs for the Large Wide (Golden Technologies). The Tall has the highest seat of the six, at 23 inches, a point worth checking for a taller person.

Seat width runs from 21 inches on the Petite/Small and Medium to 29 inches on the Large Wide. Wall clearance reclined ranges from 21 to 26 inches depending on size, more than the one-zone Comforter needs. Overall widths run from 32 to 40 inches (Golden Technologies).

• Labor on those parts: subsidized for three years
• Electrical parts: three years from original purchase
• Electrical parts, years 4 to 7: pro-rated discount (35% down to 5%)
• Labor on electrical parts: subsidized for one year
• Original purchaser, residential use only, proof of purchase required
• Claims go through the selling retailer and need Golden approval
