The Cloud Classic is built around Golden's MaxiComfort Positioning, which Golden says moves the seat as you recline so the chair cradles your body. It has two comfort zones, a biscuit back and solid molded arm pillows (Golden Technologies, sell sheet).
Who it suits
Three sizes are offered. The Small/Medium and Medium/Large are rated for 400 lbs, and the Medium Wide for 600 lbs with 29 inches between the arms (Golden Technologies). That Medium Wide makes the Cloud Classic a strong option for a larger person who still wants MaxiComfort positioning.

Golden lists two comfort zones, MaxiComfort positioning and a biscuit back, and gives the place of origin as the USA (Golden Technologies).
How it compares
The Cloud+ with MaxiComfort is the bigger step: four comfort zones instead of two, four sizes including a 600 lb Medium Wide, a lithium-ion battery backup and a wireless phone charger (Golden Technologies). The Cloud with MaxiComfort has four zones in a single Med/Large size (Golden Technologies). The Cloud Classic keeps things to two zones with a choice of three sizes.

Overall width is 33.5 inches on the Small/Medium, 38 on the Medium/Large and 45 on the Medium Wide. Seat heights are 19, 20 and 21 inches. Wall clearance reclined is 23 inches on the Small/Medium, 26.5 on the Medium/Large and 21 on the Medium Wide (Golden Technologies), so the widest size actually needs the least room behind it.

- Electrical parts: three years from original purchase
- Electrical parts, years 4 to 7: pro-rated discount (35% down to 5%)
- Labor on electrical parts: subsidized for one year
- Original purchaser, residential use only, proof of purchase required
- Claims go through the selling retailer and need Golden approval
